Dear Parents,
The snow is finally here! I can't say that I am thrilled to see it, but all things considered, not too bad!
As another great week comes to a close, I want to encourage you to read my blog post. As you know, I had the opportunity to attend the North American Jewish Day School Conference this past weekend in Atlanta. Having been back a few days now, my blog post reflects on the conference. | KSA PARLOR MEETINGS  Marc Medwed, Head of School, and Michael Agus, President of the Board of Trustees, would like to invite you to attend one of two parlor meetings to discuss the school's financial situation and our plans to improve it. Our goals for these meetings are transparency and community-building. By working on both together, we will reinforce and sustain this outstanding school and make it even better and stronger. In attendance will be Marc Medwed, Russ Lavoie (Director of Finance & Operations), Michael Agus, and additional board Trustees. We will answer any questions you have to the best of our ability and engage you in a constructive conversation. | HELP OUR 8TH GRADERS RAISE $$ TO SUPPORT SERVICES FOR DISABLED SOLDIERS IN ISRAEL!! 
"Beit Halochem is a place where the disabled can regain their dignity and quality of life. These courageous men and women have paid the ultimate sacrifice for the state of Israel. After they leave the hospital, Beit Halochem is there to help them rebuild their lives." -Beit Halochem Website (Click here) Each year, our eighth graders collect money to donate to a special place in Israel during their 8th grade Israel trip. Last year they collected and donated $400 for the Hai-Bar Nature Reserve. This year they will be collecting money and donating it to Beit Halochem Centre in Haifa, a place where injured soldiers participate in an outpatient program for physical therapy, especially those who have lost limbs. When our eighth graders travel to Israel in just under two weeks, they will tour the facility, speak with the soldiers, and present our school's donation. We are hoping for 100% participation from our students- any donation amount will help to make a difference. Please send cash or checks (payable to KSA) to school by January 24. Our 8th graders will come to the classes to collect the donations. We thank you for your assistance in helping us support this most important program. |
