MESSAGE FROM MR. MEDWED
Marc Picture 2011

Dear Parents,

I hope that you all enjoyed this week.  I want to direct you to our school blog to find my message this week.

I have been doing a lot of thinking about the letter from our Board that went out to the parent community before Thanksgiving and I have drafted a response that offers some additional thoughts.  I encourage you to read my posting and join in the conversation.

Shabbat Shalom!

Mazal Tov to:

  • The Shore family on Ross' upcoming Bar Mitzvah
  • Mazel Tov to Jacob Hershman
Each year, the Massachusetts Music Educators Association holds the Southeast District Music Festival, a 2 day event which concludes with a concert, featuring the most outstanding middle school instrumentalists and vocalists from the southeast district. To qualify for the festival band, students must pass a rigorous audition process and demonstrate a very high degree of instrumental proficiency.
KSA is proud to announce that 8th grader, Jacob Hershman, passed the audition and will be playing trumpet with the Festival Band, March 11, 2012., in Attleboro. Approximately 175 trumpet players competed for the 15 available trumpet positions. Needless to say, we are all very proud of Jacob's achievement and honored that he will be representing our school at this prestigious event.
